Uh… what?
As you might have read, I enjoyed the Shadow Warrior remake, rating it at Tier 1. This is a freebie game that came along with the purchase of Shadow Warrior. Calling it a game is generous. It’s more of a punchline. The punchline you ask? Well, the entire game is you, playing as a janitor, where you have to clean up to the mess left behind by Lo Wang.
Admittedly, this is a somewhat amusing concept. I mean, somebody would have to clean up the messes left behind… right? Overall, it has the same sort of humor (and difficulty) as Surgeon Simulator. It’s a game about doing simple things that turn ridiculous as you scoot shuffle and place everyday objects (well, and dead body parts) around the environment in an attempt to be conducive to creating a clean biohazzard free environment… right before your thumb twitches on the d-pad, and the bin that you’ve been placing body parts in suddenly flies across the room upside down and you have to pick up all the pieces again.
Look, I know it’s a joke game. It is kind of amusing. It’s also co-op, so if you were looking for something stupid to do on a Friday night with some friends, this would be a good outlet for it. In the end though, in spite of my grinning, I just have to think “nice try with the humor guys, but this is still a Tier 3 game.”
